Long, slender leaves cascade down a rough, scaly trunk, making this an interesting plant specimen. The trunk acts as a water reservoir, suggesting a popular name for this plant: elephant’s foot. Native to the semi-desert areas of southwestern Mexico.

Water: Maintain soil on dry side.
Light: Bright indoor light to full sun outside. 
Continuing Care: Best when roots fit snugly in growing pot, trim leaf edges as needed.
Temperature: Performs well at average indoor temperatures.
Fertilizer: Liquid general purpose fertilizer at half rate every other month
