Bromeliad

Members of the Pineapple family, bromeliads are native to the South American tropics and West Africa. Easy to grow, with spectacular foliage and brilliant unusual flowers, bromeliads are an exciting indoor specimen.

Water: Allow planting mix to become slightly dry before watering. Flush out water from the central rosettes every two weeks.
Light: Place in bright indirect sun light indoors.
Continuing Care: After main plant has finished flowering, leave “cups” on until they have roots, then cut from main plant and repot.
Temperature: Performs well at average indoor temperatures.
Fertilizer: General household liquid fertilizer at half rate every other month.
USDA Zones: 10 – 11
