Event Announcement: Holiday How To's Workshop
Holiday How To's Workshop (September 2010)
In September we announced that Nurserymen's Exchange would be playing host to an AIFD workshop at BloomRite® Gardens. We also promised forthcoming details on what it would be about and how to register. Well the wait is over!
On Sunday November 7th the Northwest Region of the American Institute of Floral Designers is putting on a "Holiday How To's" workshop as part of their fall design program. Starting at 9:30 AM and lasting until 2:30 PM, members of the Northwest Region will give you tips and tricks in holiday décor.
To quote the registration form:
"AIFD Designers Wil Gonzalez and Gerry Greg will help you ring in the holidays. They will present dynamic designs that will inspire you to make your customers' holiday parties the talk of the town. From simple, elegant gift arrangements to fantasy dinner parties, you'll see the latest trends in holiday décor."
Wil Gonzalez was inducted into AIFD in 2007, and is currently the president of the Northwest Region of the AIFD. He is a contributing writer for the Ukiah Daily Journal's 'Hey Flower Guy!' column, and president of the Ukiah Gardening Club. He is also a Tournament of Roses parade floral designer for Fiesta Parade Floats, and recently led the team of designers that was responsible for the world record holding Natural Balance Float.
Gerry Gregg entered the AIFD in 2006, and has appeared twice on the cover of Bride and Bloom magazine. He placed first at Teleflora's LA and Coastal counties top ten Qualifying design competition in 2006, and he was recipient of the People's Choice award for his work on the Beverly Hills Headdress Ball 2010. Gerry also supports charity work, including the Enloe Hospital fundraiser, and Boys and Girls Club of America.
To sign up for this event, download and print out the registration form provided here, fill it out and send it with payment to the address provided by the form. Pre-registrations can be made until the November 1st, and doing so will include a bento lunch. You can also pick up a registration form at BloomRite® Gardens, if downloading it is impossible.
See you in November!
